Let’s hope that whatever

The outcome of today’s Presidential

Election brings

 

That when all the

Verbal skirmishing is over

All the scaremongering

And predictions of doom

Have died away

 

That this great nation

May find a renewed calm

A restored poise

A relaxed confidence

 

That it might once again

Take its place

As the supreme paradigm

Of democratic rule
